Great opening Dana
Hilarious beginning! Great tips!
Glad you enjoyed!
Just arse kissing !!! That is all
Incredible discussion.... thank you!!
This is insightful & interesting! 👌🏾 Thank u Dana 🙏🏾
Haha! I love this!
Gosh! This segment spoke to my soul! I try warning about this as much as I can. You both articulated it so wonderfully! Thank you very much!
Right so because I want you to get this through your head. I want to give you a perspective. Considering the ratio of people per ethnicity you wonder why there isn't as many people from those groups in certain fields. You talk about privilege but leave out the fact that there are companies denying people jobs based on skin colour to fill "racial" quotas aka bringing in people of colour purely to look "Good". Sure looks as if black people are being given the privilege of simply getting the job because of their skin colour over the fact of "is the person competent enough to perform the job." This is what happens. You ask someone who has no experience to build a rocket that will be sent into space. Do you want someone simply for their skin colour, or do you want someone who actually has the technical knowledge of how to build a fully functioning rocket that can take off and land safely with minimal chance of exploding and killing everyone on board. Who is really the privileged group?
5 years old, but such a fresh and friendly manner to deliver very important content. Thanks for making this video! 👍
1. Stop unsolicited advice. Ask strategic questions. 2. Offer a structured plan. 3. Respect manager authority. 4. Stop obsessing on their weakness. 5. Customize your approach.
Loved this🌸💕 I have been clearly hopeless all these years.
Wow this has been an eye opening video, I never knew any of this. I am taking on a new senior role and I want to do well at managing up.
the guy in the blue shirt looks like Christian bale
Thank you for the great talk! Another good book related to redlining and segregation is The Color of Law by Richard Rothstein. I couldn’t believe how much strategizing went into preventing black people from having access to homes.
Yes, I highly recommend The Color of Law
Great conversations - thanks so much for doing these!

Thank you Dana!

I agree with your point about being on time. However, when working on a global team, 'on time' is defined differently in different cultures. This is an important context to learn.
Very true
Very interesting. Thanks.
Thanks
I really would have appreciated hearing your talk and insight! You get us all ready to listen and then.. nothing. If this is only a promotional bit for your discussion it should be titled so. Thanks!
You are so right! I'm going to try to make it private or take it down. I'd originally posted it for a speaking application that required a link to a teaser video. But, the good news is that here's a link to a pdf that explains the model - my epiphany. Hope it helps! professionalismmatters.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/New-Time-Management-Model.pdf
@@DanaBrownlee the link to the PDF appears to be broken

Avoiding difficult personalities in a meeting can have its consequences. But learning how to manage them can create a comfortable atmosphere where everyone will eventually work together. This facilitation skills training clip has brought great insight on how to handle difficult personalities, not just in a meeting but also in a workplace.
Thanks so much!
This is a great overview of different personalities you might encounter as a facilitator. Thanks for highlighting these! Cheers!
Was about to say that..
Do you have any tips on managing the office Diva/social butterfly? I have an employee that constantly runs around the office getting into everyone business and trying to control everyone. She is Miss. Bossy Busybody. She easily gets her feelings hurt, if you try to discipline her or tame her down. Thank you, My email address is faye6179@gmail.com
Fantastic video! A wonderful overview (more than that...a wonderful teaching!) of how to provide exceptional value to the company while making oneself exceptionally valuable to their company's leadership. Not only will doing so provide job security for the employee himself or herself but dramatically increases their opportunity for advancement, as well. How Dana did this all in less than nine minutes is somewhat amazing. I can only imagine what a powerful read her book is. Any company would do well to have ALL their employees - leadership and general - learning from Dana!
Thanks so much!
love your videos Dana! I find them so helpful...I've been looking for great content on project management and group facilitation so thank you!

Using it tomorrow at an operations training session.
